Paint Party Friday

Hi It's late Friday evening, and I wanted to share some little sketches I have been doing in my little sketch book. Some time the ideas make it into a journal or they can inspire other things, this little sketch book is also very personal to me. A lot of things are just for my eyes only but I really wanted to share this with my non-judge-mental bloggy friends. Because, I know just how full of love you all are. ;0)

The first sketch is obvious, kind of. I sketched free hand and then used a mixture of paints and and water colour crayons (I adore my new set yummy 'Carand'ache') I can't even pronouce it. But Easy mane is my neo 2s, and they are perfect. The second is a stamp (one of my very new faves from wood ware) I stamped and then painted and crayoned again. Obviously I created the back ground first, I used some spray paint/ink from Dylusions, (love these too) Any way I am going to have a good look over the weekend at your paint, master, pieces, I honestly find looking at all of your work so inspiring. Love Dawn xx

P.S. I have had a little colour change, to help people see better, I hope this helps, I am always happy of feed back and where I can I will make changes. Thank you my bloggy friends Love. Dawn xx

Happy PPF - I'm late making comments as Blogger was giving me fits yesterday. However, I'm making the rounds this morning and just love your sketches. The colors are fresh, the layout simple and effective. Isn't it fun to play with our favorite tools? These are lovely!

Love your sketches they are very good. You asked about ACEO's the letters stand for Art Cards, Editions and Originals. The are The size of a baseball trading card 2.5X3.5 inches. The only rule is they have to be that size. They are also know as ATC's Artist Trading Cards. ACEO's are sold or traded and ATC's are traded. Hope that helps.

Hi Dawn,
Haven't seen you much on the Strathmore site so I thought I would check in. I haven't had time to put any of my new images on but hope to soon. I love your sketches. Looks like you are having fun. I am a huge fan of Caran d' ache water soluble crayons. They have been my portable medium for years.

I have been trying to sketch or journal daily. Hope to continue for a year...and then look back at 365 days of journals.

God Bless,
Lori (aka arel3 from strathmore visual journal site.)

Hi Dawn,
I haven't seen you much on the Strathmore Visual Journal site so I thought I would check in...love the sketches and I am a huge fan of Cara d'Ache water soluble crayons. I have been using them for years. So colorful...you should try them on brown paper. Gorgeous! They are my portable medium of choice because of their intense color.

I haven't had time to publish any of my new journal pages but I have been trying to sketch/journal daily. I am trying to do a sketch a day for a year. Hopefully at this time next year I will have 365 pages or journal entries. Won't that be fun to see?

Take care an God Bless,
Lori
