Thankful for Spring

Hello again fellow journalers. I thought I would put a Spring page in my Thankful Journal. I have many things to thank the Lord for but Spring is very special isn't it so here is a new page to help inspire for your Spring Journal Challenge I thought I would use lots of scraps and an old tag I had made a long time ago enjoy the day. Morning. More colour and techniques. I loved putting the paste through the stencil then transferring the photo on to it. It allowed the diamond pattern to show through. I also love all the doodling as well, it's really nice to play around doing lots of different things ;0) Love Dawn xx

Scraps & Tags

The majority of this is scrap! and a couple of tags I have made in the past. I thought I would stick some of my tags in my journals because I love to make them but I don't use them as tags so this is the perfect excuse ;0) All the paper you see in this spread is scrap from my scrap draw (a very full draw but only a draw lol) I have seen some scrap cupboards in blog land ha ha. I had this ready for Journal Journeys in December lol and forgot to post it. I thought since I did one on Spring this was for a Winter theme. But dizzy as I am a forgot to post it lol any way here it is for you to have a look at now. Love Dawn xx

Messing Around

Getting messy

Hi ya guys, thought I would drop by and show you an A5 size page I did last month. I have quite a few journal pages I would love to share with you I just haven't got round to posting them yet. However, I will be doing my Journal Journey's Challenge tomorrow so I hope you will stop by and join in ;0)

Not the best photo in the world. Can you see the face in the rose? I like to collect scraps of magazines, usually the free ones from the supermarkets. There are a mix of a few techniques. This only took a short time, you know when you just see an aspect (the eggs for me in this case) you just know you could have some fun with this and so I got out my arty stuff and had lots of fun on a fairly small page A5 but had lots of fun. Paint, Paper & Ink

How are you? Thank you for coming to see my latest efforts. I am planning to carry on with the themed journal spread each month, it's really nice to hear that you all really enjoyed it and would like it to continue, so please get ready for the 1st of March when I will have something for us all to have a theme to play with ;0) Meanwhile I have  been practicing with paint & paper to get into the swing of things.

Here are some close ups of this page, I haven't titled this but I really like the stamp and just had to use it as a focus. I just splurged on some techniques and added them with little thought and may be this is why it appears a little disjointed, saying that I still kind of like it though. Hope you do to. Love Dawn xx

A new Journal book

I have made a journal to record all my visits to the women of my church I make this year. Let me explain (Briefly) In our church we have partnerships to visit women in the church once each month. Each partnership has between 3-5 women to visit. That's a very brief explanation lol Any way I wanted to keep a record of all the needs and visits I made this year so I can look back and look forward so I don't forget B'days of them or their children I hope this helps my terrible memory in some way.

Here is an idea what the inside is like I have the months of the year in and their names, addresses, birthdays  etc. And I have made each page on the right hand side special to write on. I hope you like. this Love Dawn xx

Journal Journey's Ch05

Well October has gone already and it's now November. I think this year has gone so fast. Being November I can officially start talking about Christmas on my blogs lol.  Again more wonderful work form every one who joined in, I really wish I could give you all some thing. Thank you for playing along and I do hope you will play again this month ;0)

Okay on to this months challenge, I really hope you're up for this....................

New Look!

New look mmmm what do I mean? Well something very simple actually, I would like you to use a photograph of your self or like me you can use magazines all cut up ;0) paint your self what ever you like. Then give your self a different look. Now I concentrated on the hair but you can go for the full body new look. Have you ever wanted to be a punk, clown or an imaginary being even? I haven't really pushed the boat out here, I have kept it pretty basic. However,  you can really go as far out as you like, so go off and journal you have a month so get creative. I hope you like this as subject, just go out have fun let your imagination run riot and knock your self out ;0)

Journal Angel

Hello, how was your weekend? I had my grandson James all weekend so it was super busy and tiring ;0) I did manage last week to do a painting in my journal though. I was inspired by an artist called Cheryl Irwin she shows a video of how to paint angels and I was inspired immediately.  I did this in my journal and then I used a 9x12 canvass Here on my other blog.
